" Be thou exalted, Lord, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power." - Psalm 21:13
So, I have this funny story to tell you. It's also a little embarrassing... but I will tell it anyway because it has been something I have thought about often because it reminds me that God cares about the little things.
To make the story short; several years ago we had a birthday party that was held at the church. There was a huge pinata with candy, small toys, and big rubber balls the size of cabbages. I thought they were pretty neat and I thought that I'd really like to have one, particularly the bright blue one. {That's why I said this story was kind of embarrassing, you now get a peek at my childish side.} The pinata was for the little kids, and I told myself to forget about it. I didn't need a silly blue ball. What would I do with it anyway?
The next day I went to the church to make sure everything was spic and span for our next service. Lo and behold, when I started vacuuming I found one of those balls. It was the blue one! I can't tell you how happy I was without feeling a little silly, but the thought impressed on me was that this was a blessing directly from God. He cared about my childish whim. He's shown me so many times that I can trust Him in everything, big or little. He answers before I think to ask sometimes.
What a wonderful God we serve!
